Preparing for Your Champers Delivery: A Customer Checklist

A smooth drinks delivery often starts before the vehicle arrives. A few practical details shared in advance can help us plan the delivery properly and help your team receive it with less disruption.

Use this checklist when setting up a new delivery arrangement or when something changes at your venue.

1. Tell us about access in advance

Let us know about anything that could affect how the delivery is made. This may include cellar access, stairs, restricted unloading areas, access codes or a delivery that needs more than one person to handle kegs safely.

Please provide special delivery or access instructions by email. You can send them through your account manager, who will check feasibility with the warehouse, or email the Sales team directly. We assess each request and confirm whether it can be accommodated.

2. Make safety part of the plan

At Champers, the health and safety of our delivery team is a priority. If an access arrangement could create a safety issue, we may not be able to deliver in the way requested. Sharing the details early gives us the opportunity to assess the requirement and explain the practical options.

3. Ask for a suitable delivery window

If your venue has particular trading hours or a better time to receive stock, you can request a delivery window. We always try to accommodate customers’ requirements, although a precise requested time should not be treated as guaranteed. In practice, the delivery may be planned within a one- or two-hour window.

4. Decide how the delivery will be received

Someone does not always need to be present, provided an appropriate delivery arrangement has been agreed in advance. For example, a customer may provide an access code where suitable. If your usual arrangement changes, tell us by email so we can assess and confirm it.

5. Keep the unloading point ready

Before delivery, make sure the agreed access point is available and that there is a practical, safe area for unloading. This is especially important at busy venues, in cellars and where access is limited.

6. Arrange empty keg and pallet collections

If you need empty kegs or pallets collected, let the office know beforehand. If there is space on the vehicle, the driver can collect them during the next delivery. If not, we can arrange another or subsequent collection.

7. Order in time for next-day delivery

For standard next-day delivery, place your order by 12pm on the day before delivery. During seasonal peak periods, follow the delivery and ordering schedule we share with you.

8. Use tracking and proof of delivery

We can send delivery tracking by email and SMS, with no login or app installation required. Once the delivery is completed, proof of delivery can be sent to your subscribed email address. If you do not receive a tracking notification or cannot open the link, contact Customer Service and we will help.

The best delivery arrangements are simple, clear and agreed in advance. To add or update access instructions, please send the details by email through your account manager or directly to our Sales team. You can also use those contacts to request a delivery window or arrange collections.
